My 13-year-old cousin has been vomiting blood for the past two days. He was taken to the hospital near Annapolis and was diagnosed with spinal meningitis. He was then flown to Johns Hopkins and placed into the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

Since my father’s health has trained me to be an expert at sitting in hospitals and since I love my family, I’m heading up there to show my support. I’m worried about my cousin, but I want to go and be there for my aunt, uncle, and his brothers and sisters.
