Box Office Estimates 8/27-2006
Summer is over. It’s obvious from the box office this week. The numbers are BAD but there are two positive things to mention. The first is that “Little Miss Sunshine” is still climbing the charts. It is now in 3rd place and took more money in this weekend than it did last weekend.
The other big news is that “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” has made $407.5 million, which means it has surpassed “Spider-Man” and is the sixth highest ranking film of all time (The top 5 are: Titanic, Star Wars: A New Hope, Shrek 2, E.T., Star Wars: Episode I).
