As we know Katie Holmes, the weakest link in the otherwise steel strong “Batman Begins”, confirmed Friday that she won’t be returning for the sequel “The Dark Knight”. Her character of Rachel Dawes though is in the film and producers are now seeking other actresses to fill the part.

Naturally with a slot open on the cast list, it was only a day before the first rumoured replacement showed up - according to Batman-on-Film that person is “Red Eye” and “The Notebook” actress Rachel McAdams.

McAdams, an actress many thought (including myself) would’ve been the better choice for Lois Lane in “Superman Returns”, has been rumoured for the project for a while - though in a different capacity.
