Heroes: Episode 13: The Fix

Last night gave us two new characters on Heroes, but nothing dramatic or things we didn’t already know. Thank goodness I’m here to give you a real fix!.
Greg Beenman, one of the show’s producers, has updated his blog.
Tonight’s episode pushes the HEROES story forward on several levels. Peter meets a mentor, invisible man Christopher Eccleston http://imdb.com/name/nm0001172/ Hiro meets “The Big Boss” who may be behind it all! (And fans of sci-fi synergy get a major treat!) One of the series regulars is revealed with a new power (one which may seem small now but will play out in a big way at the end of the season!!!) And Claire makes contact with her birth mother (Who is pretty hot!!! )
A new comic has been posted on the NBC website.
Don’t forget that episodes now come with cast-commentaries. This week’s features Greg Grunberg and Hayden Panettiere.
Star Trek alumn, George Takei talked to TV Guide:
Mr. Nakamura, who is one of the world’s wealthiest men, arrives with his bodyguards in a $450,000 car. He wants to bring his irresponsible son back to Japan. Hiro has mysteriously vanished to the United States, and that is intolerable! He has a need for appropriate defenses because there are evil people in the world — people who will kidnap rich men, or their children, and hold them for ransom. My character is very old school and believes in learning the business from the bottom up. He was brought up that way by his father, and he wants his son raised that way, too. That is why, when the series began, you first saw Hiro working in a cubicle. The Nakamuras are members of a long and very important Japanese dynasty. In ancient times we were in the shogun class. An old powerful family of the Japanese aristocracy would certainly have family treasures, and that could include a sword…. Only samurai were allowed to carry swords, and the upper echelon had the best of the swords, so therefore they became heirlooms.
Show creator Tim Kring talked to Sci-Fi Wire about this years season finale (which won’t air till May). This year will end in a cliffhanger that tees up season two, but he also said that the whole apocalypse storyline will be wrapped.
“The nuclear explosion will be resolved in the first season. The cliffhanger is not necessarily a cliffhanger in terms of what has been set up so far storywise,” he added. “It’s more of a cliffhanger as to the welfare and well-being of several of our characters. Obviously it plays into where we kick off at the beginning of season two.”
I’ve mentioned several times that someone is dying. It seems now that the character is one of the “heroes” that appeared in the first few minutes of the first show, which means its s either Mohinder, Peter, Simone, H.R.G., Niki/Jessica, Micah, or Claire. We know Micah is safe because Beenman mentioned in his blog that his power is important at the end of the season. So my bet is that its H.R.G. or Simone.
There will be another flashback episode and this time we will go back 14 or 15 years. We will see how H.R.G. became Claire’s father and we will learn that there was a previous generation of heroes that include the invisible man and Claire’s mother.
