Tom Brevoort posts in his blog that ?Civil War? #7 has shipped to the printers. The pic above is the rough-final panel of the series. It looks like some sort of explosion in the distance or maybe a scene set in the n-zone. If it is an explosion it would support the old rumor that “Civil War” ends with Hulk invading earth …a la’ “Watchmen.”

Anyway here is what Brevoort has to say:

Circumstances have forced me to push off the series on “My So-Called Career in Comics” by a week or so, I’m afraid.

However, today’s a special day all around nonetheless–we’re sending CIVIL WAR #7 off to the printer tonight, so THE WAR IS OVER!

As a special exclusive to the regular readers of this blog, I’m giving you a sneak peek at the very last panel of CIVIL WAR #7.

Also on their way out the door are CIVIL WAR: THE INITIATIVE by Bendis, Ellis and Silvestri, CIVIL WAR: FRONT LINE #11 and the very excellent MIGHTY AVENGERS #1.

It’s been a long road to get here, but hopefully, now that it’s all done, people will generally feel like they got their money’s worth, and that where we’ve ended up and what we have coming up is pretty interesting.

And, if not, you know who to complain to.

Update: This is how Civil War ends.
