I’m hearing that Tennant will be leaving “Doctor Who” sometime during the fourth season and that he will be replaced by Irish actor James Nesbitt. The fourth season kicks off in Britain on September 9th so we’ll know soon if this is true or not.

I heard Tennant was leaving. That’s a shame, because I think he’s GREAT.

This Nesbitt guy looks very angry. I don’t like angry doctor, I like fun & sassy doctor.

Tennant has been awesome. The producers terribly bungled season 2, IMHO, when they tried to force the Rose-10thDr relationship when the chemistry simply wasn’t there. I’m concerned that S4 could be equally ruined.

Plus, isn’t the Doctor running out of regenerations? There’s a limit on those, isn’t there?

I’m still trying to track down what is going on. I did find out some more info about what companions are going to show up in the fourth season but details about Tennant’s departure is super hush-hush.

I wasn’t a huge fan of the Rose & Tennant relationship. It did feel forced. But I reallyyyyyyyyyy liked Rose and I’m very sad to have her gone.

  4. Wowbagger Says:

Oh, ditto, loved Rose. I just think the show would have worked out better without the forced sexual tension.

Whoa. Just had a flashback to season 2 of Enterprise. Archer/T’Pol, anyone?

  5. Chris Says:

I had a feeling this was coming. If memory serves me correctly he only gets 13 lives. But I have a feeling they will use some technicallity since he is the last Time Lord.

  6. sam Says:

Regarding his regeneration cycles, lest we forget, The Master was able to find a loophole extending how many times he could regenerate. I think it’s a flaw in the story line. I for see them completely overlooking this, or giving some BS way around it. Or, option 2- Russell D. really dislikes the Doctor, and is steaming through his lives, to completely end the story for ever.

    noooo david tennant is leaving
i wonder what he will do with himself

  8. Freeman!!! Says:

Chris is right, the limit on the regenerations is 13 and the other timelords brought back the Master for help with the time war. since there are no more time lords i dont see how they will get round it, but the next episode is about the doctor having a daughter!!!

  9. danni Says:
