Oddly enough, Perez of all places has an update on the Spider-Man Musical:

Bono and The Edge have been chosen as the team behind the musical version of Spider-Man. The fellas from U2 will work on the score and lyrics for the in development show and The Lion King mastermind, Julie Taymor, has been tapped to direct.

Things are moving along and the production team is looking for a space. “It’s a a big extravaganza, which needs a huge theater,” says Taymor.
