I decided to check in on Jackson Publick’s blog to see if there was any news regarding the return of “Venture Bros.” and it seems the blog has been quiet for almost a month. Though in his last posting he said:

Doc and I are presently collaborating on episode 37, which we intend to sandwich in as third or fourth in the airing order, since it introduces a plot line/character arc we’ve been playing with all season but somehow never got around to writing the genesis of earlier on. We’ll only have two left to finish out the season after that–which instills me with a paradoxical combination of emotions: “my, where has the time gone?” and “crap…we’re not out of the woods yet…what are we gonna do for a big finale this time?”

It’s a good sign that a month ago they only had two episodes left of the season to write. It probably means that as of now, all the episodes are written and currently in production. The bad news is that Adult Swim doesn’t want a large hiatus between the third and fourth season so they are going to delay the premier of the third season. Of course no word on when that will be.
