Heroes Episode 5 Wrap Up & Spoilers

We finally got to see the Kristen Bell on “Heroes” and I feel cheated. She was barely on the show and didn’t have any interaction with the regular cast members. At least I’m not the only one who feels this season’s pacing is off, Executive Producer Greg Beaming posted the following in his blog:

This episode is, perhaps, most notable for the introduction of Kristen Bell to the HEROES lineup. We have been introducing a lot of new characters in these early episodes. I know that, to some people, it feels like it’s been too much too fast, and some wonder where have last year’s heroes gone? But Tim Kring expressed from the beginning of the development of this year that it was important to him to keep evolving the big-picture story.

Then I have a few upcoming spoilers I’m posting after the break:

Kristen Bell’s father is Bob (I think that’s his name), the man running The Company.

Isaac the painter may be dead but his legacy lives on. In next week’s episode HRG will find paintings that include six shockers involving Niki, Claire, Hiro, and Suresh.

Just in case you’ve not read the three other posts I’ve made about it, Samurai Kensei (played by David Anders) is the big bad of the season. He gets from being back in time with Hiro to present day by being immortal. Also, he’s Nathan and Peter’s father (we see him in the photo of The 12) which means he’s also Claire’s grandfather.

There is apparently an on-going mystery involving Matt. Last season end with him being married and about to have a baby and this season started with him living in New York with molly. I had assumed, like most people, that he has left his wife because she was a cheat and that the baby wasn’t his. However there is more to it than that and what exactly will be revealed slowly over time.

There is a very good chance that Hiro’s father Mr. Nakamura is not dead. He will be returning to the show and his return has something to do with his powers, which will finally be revealed.

I thought Parkman’s dad was cool - with his ability to send people into dreams, leading to Parkman and Nathan fighting each other while in separate dreams. That was the best scene of the show so far this season.
