Remember how in week six I was complaining about Booster crossing the line? Well its nice to know that the writers have him paying the consequences already. Not only did he get ousted for being a con-artist but it was great to have Ralph Dibny (who we’ve not seen a few weeks) go to Booster for help and then when Booster didn’t help him he totally ripped Booster a new one in front of the media. So now everyone knows Booster has had some fraudulent rescues.

Also in this issue, we return to the alien planet where Starfire, Animal Man, and Adam strange are. It seems the planet has drug-like fruits and both Animal Man and Starfire are addicted to them. Matters only get worse when Starfire bumps into a giant Galactus-like guy with a big spear. I get the impression that the reveal of the big giant guy was supposed to be BIG but since I don’t know DC continuity I have no idea who the dude was.

Then finally the only other thing that happens in this issue is that Renee goes to see an ex-girlfriend. Apparently the address at 520 Kane street is owned by the Kane family. So Renee asks her ex what the building is and her ex says she’ll look into it. This whole sequence just seemed weird and forced. Clearly the writers were just introducing Katherine Kane because she will show up in later issues of “52.”
