3 Real Places I’d Like To Go

If I’m every super rich and can do whatever I want, then these are the three non-US soil places I’d like to go the most.
Number 1: Machu Picchu
Ever since I was little I’ve had a thing for the rainforest. I can’t explain it. I don’t know why, but I’ve always wanted to go there. Also, out of all the ancient civilizations the Incas were always my favorite. So visiting South America to visit an Incan city in the rainforest would be absolutely amazing! Machu Picchu was built around 1450 and staid pretty much intact (most Incan cities were ravaged by the Spanish) because of its high altitude. It was only rediscovered in the 1900s.

Number 2: Mont Saint Michel
Mont Saint Michel just looks so freaking cool. It was built on massive slabs of granite in the 10th century by French monks. At the time the land mass was an island in a bay. Now its still an island but erosion has turned the bay into mudflaps that only fill with water during high tide. The monks used it as a place for sanctuary and because of its odd location (it was only reachable during low tide via a natural land bridge) it literally survived over a thousand years of assaults without being destroyed.

Number 3: Ta Prohm
This temple was where the first “Tomb Raider” movie was filmed, but we shouldn’t judge it for that. That’s not its fault. The temple is located in Cambodia and is still a “working” temple. Monks live there and it is very much considered a place of worship. I think what I really like about it is it has a very “Raiders of the Lost Ark” type of feel to it. You know? The way that the Bombax trees have sprouted and grown throughout the temple not only make it look beautiful but give it a very mystic-like quality.
