“Smallville” Breaks The Rules

With Al Gough and Miles Millar (the original producers on Smallville) expect the “no flight no tights” rule to be broken. Specifically the part about flying.

Well she’ll be back for 5 episodes starting in November. Right in time for sweeps, what a weird coincidence. Making matters more complicated, her return will happen right around the time that a Clark/Lois romance starts to take off.

Even though he’s on hiatus while switching from TV Guide to EW, Ausiello is still dishing out the scoops:
My increasingly itchy moles report that Sam Witwer, best known to Battlestar Galactica fans as ex-Raptor ECO Alex “Crashdown” Quartararo, has been tapped to play the series regular role of Doomsday. Additionally, relative newcomer Cassidy Freeman is joining the cast as Tess, a sexy and vengeful firecracker with whom Lex hires to run his empire in his absence. Ironically, the actress’ most recent credit was the failed CW pilot Austin Golden Hour — starring none other than Green Arrow himself, Justin Hartley (who’s back on Smallville full time next season).

To deal with the loss of Lex Luthor and Lana Lang, Green Arrow is returning to “Smallville” as a series regular. Chances are this is also the new producers trying to set up things for a spin-off since next season is the final season of the “Smallville.” Having Ollie around with a secret identity will also most likely lead into Clark finally creating the “Superman” Persona.

Michael Rosenbaum has wrapped production on this season of “Smallville” and is officially done with the show. However he (or one of is PR people) wrote/distributed the following letter to fans of the show:
Dear Smallville Fans,
Well, it’s been seven wonderful years. Your support is what has made Smallville so successful, and I appreciate you all more than you know. That being said, it is time for me to start the next chapter of my life and career. I hope that I gave you some enjoyment over the years, and that you found my portrayal of Lex Luthor to be satisfying. I am truly grateful, as Smallville fans are the best fans out there. I sincerely hope that you will continue to follow my career through my hair growth period and beyond. (Read on …)

“Smallville” has become such a crappy show that the it’s creators Al Gough and Miles Millar are leaving! The executive producers weren’t fired they’re quitting. So either the eighth and most likely final season of the show will be the best one in years or too painful to watch. I mean we all remember what happened to “Gilmore Girls” after it’s creators left.

When did “Smallville” get so bad? It used to be a decent show. Not a great show, but a decent show. However the past two seasons have been hit or miss (mostly miss). Even so I have several big spoilers (including a major death) for when the show returns in April. (Read on …)

As the Writer’s Guild Strike commences it means many of our favorite shows will soon be nothing but re-runs. As a result, I’ve compiled a list of some of the shows that are and aren’t affected by the strike (update: a more detailed list can be found here): (Read on …)

I’ve been digging and digging and I finally got a big scoop. James Marsters will be returning to “Smallville” for a multi-episode arch. Soon he’ll be going to Canada to film four episodes, which will air sometime this winter. My mole is telling me January, but knowing how TV works my bet is that the episodes will air during February sweeps.

Its an all spoilers day! This time check after the break to see just what’s up with Smallville. (Read on …)
