Smallville Spoilers
This isn’t too new news but I still wanted to mention it. Oliver Queen (Green Arrow) is going to be a main character this year on “Smallville” as will Jimmy Olson. Oliver will be a love interest for Lois Lane while Jimmy will be one for Chloe. Playing Oliver Queen will be Justin Hartley. He’s a fairly unknown actor but he starred in the “Aquaman” pilot. When CW didn’t pick up the show the producers decided to bring him over to “Smallville.”
We’ll learn this season that Oliver Queen went to boarding school with Lex Luthor and was sort of a bully to Lex. Being revengeful, Lex will have it out for Oliver all this season.
Playing Jimmy will be Aaron Ashmore. Most people will recognize him as being the twin brother of Shawn Ashmore (Iceman from the “X-men” movies), but he’s also been on “Veronica Mars.”
We learned last season on “Smallville” that Chloe lost her virginity last summer to Jimmy Olsen, but we never saw or heard the charter mentioned again. So this season will be following up on that relationship.
Love seems to be the theme of the six season because Lex and Lana are still going hot and heavy. This only makes Clark more angst and since Chloe and Lois will have new love interest, Clark will find himself lonely.
In terms of rumors there are talks that Flash will be brought back from two seasons ago and that last season’s Aquaman and Cyborg will also be back. All of which, with Clark are supposed to form a mini-Justice League.
The new season kicks off on Sept. 28.
