Governmental Secrets
I completely forgot to mention this yesterday. In Bush’s address about 9/11 he admitted that we've been holding terrorism suspects at secret, overseas CIA prisons. He says they're our best source at preventing a future attack and that information learned during interrogations has already saved lives. Is this really a shock? Don’t politicians watch shows like “24?” I mean come on. Did anyone really believe this wasn’t happening? Of course the government is doing evil dark things. It wouldn’t be a government if it wasn’t.
In his address, the president defends these secret CIA prisons, saying, "Terrorists in this program have painted a picture of al Qaida's structure, financing, communications and logistics. They have identified al Qaida's travel routes and save havens and explained how al Qaida's senior leadership communicates with its operatives in places like Iraq."
The best part is that he wants us to believe that these secret prisoners in secret prisons aren’t being tortured. Yeah right! Of course they are torturing the terrorist, but he tries to convince us that these prisoners have full Geneva rights? Man, Bush really is an idiot.
