TV Briefs

“7th Heaven” aired for the first time on a Sunday night. The CW moved it from it’s Monday time slot, which it held for 10 years, in hopes of boosting ratings. Instead, it lost roughly a million viewers, only pulling in 3.1 million. I bet CW president Dawn Ostroff is kicking herself for killing “Everwood” and resurrecting “7th Heaven.”

Speaking of “Everwood,” the show’s creator is now running ABC’s “Brothers & Sisters and I’m sure most of us are happy that it was just picked up for a full 22 episodes. Take that Ostroff!

Salma Hayek's, executive producer of “Ugly Betty,” will be getting some screen time during November sweeps. According to ABC’s press release, she will be playing, "a newcomer to the Mode scene who will leave a lasting impression on Daniel Meade (Eric Mabius) and Betty Suarez (America Ferrera)."
