For those of you who don&#8217;t know it&#8217;s basically a list of the best unproduced screenplays in Hollywood.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s neat to see what&#8217;s hot and what&#8217;s not. However what I really enjoy is the loglines. One of the first things I make my writing students do is write an elevator-pitch\/logline and the Black List always has great examples of well written ones. For example check out these:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-291\" alt=\"blacklistexamples\" src=\"https:\/\/scottking.info\/blog\/..\/Pics\/blacklistexamples.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"449\" srcset=\"https:\/\/scottking.info\/blog\/..\/Pics\/blacklistexamples.jpg 800w, https:\/\/scottking.info\/blog\/..\/Pics\/blacklistexamples-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Each of these examples are short and to the point. They do a great job of pitching a the scripts premise, protagonist, and their protagonist&#8217;s wants.
