Rainbow over the Jefferson Memorial

This is the Jefferson Memorial in Washington DC last Saturday evening!

We spent most of the day at the Natural History museum and when we left we headed over to the Jefferson Memorial so I could do some sunset photos. When driving from the museum to the memorial there was a gorgeous full rainbow right over the national mall, but there was no way for me to photograph it.

When we got to the memorial I changed my plans because originally I had thought I would shoot it facing the front but the sky behind it was blue and boring so I set up on the west bank which allowed me to snag this pic of the rainbow as well as some really beautiful blue hour photos.
