I grew up in Ocean City, Maryland, which is a super tourist town. So for me, even though technically summer doesn’t end till the 22nd, I’ve always felt Labor Day was summer’s last hurrah because right afterward businesses start shutting down for the season.
Though it will be interesting to see how things work down here on the gulf coast. Supposedly our winter lows are in the high 60’s and we don’t even have a fall. I wonder if that means it will basically feel like summer year round?
